I started tinkering with acrylic while we were in Georgia in our apartment. It started because we had high nitrates and weren't fond of the coil denitratore we built, so after weeks of research we had built our first sulphur denitrator.
In 2004 all I had to do was go across the street to the acrylic supply house and purchase some sacrylic. I then bought a circular saw , a straight edge, some clamps, and some 2x4's. I was doing all my cutting on our apartment floor.
The first denitraotr was a rectangular box with chambers for flow through and open tops.
We moved back to Orlando and we became more interested in corals, which got me tinkering with other ideas.
I couldn't find any company locally that supplied chemicals in dry form to the public. So DTI was formed and was now able to supply reefers with bulk chemicals.
I then proceeded to build sumps for myself and then making quarantine tanks.
